Thursday, January 31- Sunday February 3  2008
The Artists' Nook
Fort Collins, Colorado

A collaborative workshop taught by DJ Pettitt and Traci Bautista
with options of taking just the first two days of painting
(one day with each of us), OR all 4 days.

We’ve created an eclectic collage and painting workshop
that combines the best of our techniques to create a beautiful one-of-a-kind art journal
with painted collage covers and a no sew journal bag!

Class samples:
no sew journal bag
book with Traci

Traci's fun journal fits perfectly into the my no-sew bag. You will learn many fun surface techniques with Traci on day one, fabric painting with DJ on day two, and then put it all together while you make the book on day three with Traci, and the journal bag with DJ on day four.

and 1.5 days painting on
canvas

In this workshop, we will create dreamy fabric paintings the first day and a half,

while painting on canvas board. Learn step-by-step face painting techniques
on both substrates, with lots of one on one help during this workshop.
We will be using transparent, Golden Fluid acrylics while exploring glazing techniques,
creating depth and interest in your paintings, along with background and texture techniques.

Two day workshop with Lorri Scott and DJ Pettitt
Santa Cruz, CA
August 24th and 25th, 2008

NEW WORKSHOP JUST ADDED

Lorri Scott and I have collaborated before, and have come up with another fabulous way to combine our art.
In this two-day workshop, you have a choice of taking one class or both. If you choose to take both,
you will have the opportunity to incorporate your hand dyed fabric in the tote that you make on the second day.
Sunday August 24th, Lorri will be teaching a dye workshop at her studio located in the Santa Cruz, CA. Mountains.
Students will dye various pieces of silk and cotton fabrics along with some silk ribbons.
I will teach the tote class on Monday the 25th, at Skyland Church's Whitaker Hall (mountain location).

For more information email Lorri Scott, or download info here.
